Discover sophisticated Scandinavian cities, Neolithic sites and Norse settlements as you cross the North Sea in the wake of the great Viking explorers.

Sail in the wake of great Viking explorers. Stroll the streets of cosmopolitan Copenhagen, Denmark, before boarding Sea Explorer. In Oslo, Norway, explore City Hall (where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded), Parliament, the Royal Palace and Kon-Tiki, Thor Heyerdahl's famous balsa raft. Step ashore in Bergen to tour its 14th-century wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and continue to Edvard Grieg's countryside villa for a private performance of the composer's work. Cross the North Sea to Lerwick, Shetland Islands, to experience 4,000 years of human history at Jarlshof, then explore the Neolithic and Norse sites of the Orkney and Faroe islands. Marvel at the remote, lava-strewn beauty of the Westman Islands before disembarking in Reykjavik. Optional Copenhagen prelude and Reykjavik postlude.
