Discover masterpieces of art and architecture in the picturesque Brandywine Valley.

Pierre Samuel du Pont and his family, fled France's Reign of Terror in the early 19th century and found refuge in the verdant countryside of northern Delaware. Along the banks of the Brandywine River, the du Pont family reversed their fortunes by building a gunpowder enterprise that would permanently change the course of science and industry in America. The du Ponts' ascension in American culture remains evident in the opulent mansions, gardens, and collections that have become iconic landmarks and museums, showcasing the family's devotion to art, philanthropy, conservation, and horticulture. Over five days, enjoy exclusive access to the premier art institutions in the region, from the resplendent du Pont family homes to the Wyeth collections at the Brandywine River Museum of Art to the Pre-Raphaelite works at the Delaware Museum of Art. Accommodations are at the glamorous Hotel Du Pont in Wilmington.
