The question of “Where to next?” can feel daunting. Our development and operations team has some ideas.
As industry professionals, we at Arrangements Abroad are no strangers to the restlessness of wanderlust. However, when you’ve already visited over 50 countries across the globe — like some of our staff — the question of “Where to next?” may seem that much more daunting. We asked our team of trip development experts for their take on this year’s top travel destinations.
Jeju Island, South Korea
Located off the coast of South Korea, Jeju Island has been nicknamed “the Hawaii of Korea” for its natural beaches, picturesque waterfalls and volcanic terrain. The Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes are a UNESCO listed world heritage site, with mural-like walls that change color and texture with the seasons.
“Jeju feels like a breath of fresh air—literally and figuratively. The volcanic landscapes, the dramatic black rock beaches, the winding coastal roads—everything here feels a little untamed. What struck me most was the culture. Traditionally a matriarchal society, Jeju’s dying art is worth witnessing before it’s lost to time. I loved watching the Haenyeo, the women free-divers and historical breadwinners, work with such calm strength. The island has this quiet resilience to it, shaped by nature and tradition.”

Copenhagen, Denmark
Denmark consistently ranks as one of the happiest destinations in the world, and the city of Copenhagen is no exception. The Danish concept of Hygge (pronounced “hoo-ga”) refers to creating a warm and welcoming feeling of togetherness, typically while surrounded with family and friends. Hygge is present throughout the streets of Copenhagen, investing in sustainable living conditions and creating a strong sense of trust in the community. A hub for design and creativity, travelers can choose from a number of renowned art museums, including the Copenhagen Contemporary and the National Gallery of Denmark. Scandinavian ingenuity is on full display with the furniture design scene, embracing modern approaches to everyday fixtures.
“Copenhagen is a design haven, especially for modern and mid-century art.”

Croatia
Croatia boasts lengthy access to the Adriatic Sea, with scenic pebbled beaches and crystal blue waters. The coast is dotted with islands that create ample opportunity for sailing and exploring hidden coves and secluded beaches. Inland, there’s National Parks with hiking trails that feature lush valleys, picturesque lakes and natural waterfalls. Croatia has a rich historical heritage, with influence from the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, and Venetians. The country has eight UNESCO-listed world heritage cultural sites, including Old City of Dubrovnik, Stari Grad Plain, and the Historic City of Trogir.
“I enjoyed towns like Split and Trogir, as well as Zadar for Roman and Venetian ruins.”

La Haute-Côte-Nord, Québec Province, Canada
The dramatic bays and serene forests of La Haute-Cote-Nord make this an ideal destination for the outdoor adventurer. Hike to secluded waterfalls like Chute Manitou, or discover the monoliths of New York Times listed Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve. There are ample opportunities for interaction with wildlife, including world-class whale watching from the maritime village of Tadoussac.
“It’s a peaceful and beautiful region to visit if you like natural landscapes and are curious about local history. The autumn foliage blends with the warmth of the people and the sweetness of the local cuisine. This is the perfect getaway from the city to explore regional parks, small towns, local museums and observe marine life.”
