Cruise through the Strait of Gibraltar, the legendary Pillars of Hercules, to Gibraltar, enjoying an inside look at an underground fortress city built during World War II to protect British troops. You may enjoy expert-led access to the world’s largest Gothic cathedral and Europe’s oldest still-occupied royal residence in Andalusia. Conclude among pivotal 15th-century landmarks from Portugal’s Age of Discoveries, including the site of Prince Henry the Navigator’s famous school in Sagres, and a poignant visit to Europe’s first market for the trafficking of enslaved people.
