Bermuda: Art, Artists & Island Heritage

January 4 – 9, 2028

Starting from

Discover Bermuda’s rich artistic heritage from its historic architecture and galleries to the artists and traditions shaping its creative culture.

Join lecturer Alice Iglehart to discover Bermuda’s art, history, and architecture, meet local craftspeople, and enjoy privileged access to some of the island’s most distinctive private spaces.

Begin with a private candlelit welcome dinner with Charlotte Andrews, Bermuda National Trust Heritage Officer, discussing Bermuda’s historic properties and architecture. Travel by private boat from St. David’s to St. George’s, arriving much as the island’s first English settlers did. An 11th-generation Bermudian guide and historian, whose ancestor arrived aboard the Sea Venture when it was shipwrecked off Bermuda in 1609, brings a remarkable personal connection to this formative chapter of Bermuda’s history. Continue to St. George’s, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited English settlements in the Americas.

Discover Bermuda’s artistic heritage with private guided visits to the Bermuda National Gallery and the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, followed by a visit to the beautiful Bermuda Botanical Gardens. Continue with a curator-led tour of a hotel’s distinguished art collection, featuring works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, Banksy, Jeff Koons, KAWS, and Yayoi Kusama.

Meet Bermudian artist Jonah Jones at his home and gallery, and discover contemporary Caribbean art at Black Pony Gallery. Visit the National Museum of Bermuda and historic Royal Naval Dockyard, and meet artist and historian Graham Foster.

Visit Orange Valley, a private Bermudian home and garden, for an introduction to local craftsmanship, floral design, and horticultural traditions. Enjoy an evening at historic Rosedon and meet Lee Kitson Petty, owner of Rosedon and a member of the family that has cared for this special property. Make your way to Crystal Caves for a private tour of one of Bermuda’s most spectacular natural wonders.
