Art fairs bring together artists, galleries, curators, collectors, and museumgoers for an inside look at what is happening in the art world now. Through the Museum Travel Alliance, you can experience several of the world’s leading fairs alongside experts. In each destination, you will also enjoy specially arranged access to private collections and museums.
Here are three upcoming art fairs you won’t want to miss.
The Venice Biennale
Venice, Italy

Venice attracts art lovers and romantics with its canals, palaces, and centuries of artistic patronage. It also hosts the Venice Biennale, or La Biennale di Venezia, one of the world’s defining events for contemporary art and design. The 61st edition—titled “In Minor Keys,” as chosen by Koyo Kouoh, the late Cameroonian-Swiss art curator—will begin in May 9 and continue through November 22.
Discover the Venice Biennale with art historian, author, and longtime curator Jennifer Dasal from October 17–23, 2026. Walk the Arsenale, the 12th-century shipbuilding complex where contemporary artists now present their work.
Go beyond the Biennale: Tour the Doge’s Palace after hours, standing before Tintoretto’s Paradiso, one of the world’s largest paintings on canvas. Arrive before the public at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, housed in the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni along the Grand Canal, and visit a Venetian villa and private art collection with the owner, among other highlights.
Art Basel Miami Beach
Miami, Florida

Each year, Miami Art Week features a plethora of art-filled events, including Art Basel Miami Beach, North America’s leading global art fair. This event features diverse galleries from over 40 different countries, showcasing works by well-established masters and emerging stars of the art world.
From December 2 – 6, 2026, experience the best of Miami Art Week, including the VIP Preview of Art Basel Miami Beach. You’ll also experience tours of Miami Art Week’s satellite fairs, such as the NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) Art Fair and the Untitled Art Fair, all while enjoying Miami’s mild December weather, which averages 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition, enter the Rubell Museum before public hours with a curator to view early works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Yayoi Kusama. Meet the lead curator of Wynwood Walls, the world’s largest outdoor street art museum. Tour the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse and visit the Bakehouse Art Complex with its director.
TEFAF Maastricht
Maastricht, Netherlands

The European Fine Art Fair, or TEFAF, is the world’s premier art event, featuring museum-quality works presented by leading art dealers. It sets the global standard for quality and scholarship by independently authenticating every artwork, including antiques, Old Master paintings, artisan jewelry, photography collections, and modern and contemporary art.
From March 7 – 14, 2027, sail iconic Dutch waterways on an art-focused journey in Belgium and Holland. Attend TEFAF as a VIP with preview access to the 2027 fair. As part of your VIP experience, gain a seat at the Collector’s Breakfast in the Bonnefanten Museum alongside collectors, curators, and art-world figures.
Enjoy guided visits to some of the hidden museum gems of the Low Countries, from the Kröller-Müller Museum, home to the world’s second-largest Van Gogh collection and a vast sculpture garden in a Dutch national park, to Museum MORE, celebrated for its collection of Dutch magic realism in two historic settings, including a 14th-century moated castle. In Antwerp, stand before Rubens’s altarpieces in situ at the Cathedral of Our Lady and attend a farewell dinner and concert in a medieval castle closed to the public.
